The next project to be introduced is our capacity building project in South Africa, that My Period is Awesome run together with partners Sonke Gender Justice and Project Dignity. The project is funded by Forum Syd.

The project address existing misconceptions regarding Menstruation and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). In addition to raising awareness and organize information campaigns, the project will engage with duty bearers and inform them of their responsibility to incorporate SRHR and menstruation in educational programs.

My Period is Awesome, Sonke Gender Justice and Project Dignity will work together to strengthen the capacity of the project and the partners regarding administration, internal governance and project management. A new methodology will be developed across organizational borders. Campaigns and advocacy work, both for and with rights-holders, together with evaluation of previous projects, will increase the efficiency and reach of the project.
