Let us introduce Ulf Lundquist; the person who has taken many of the pictures we post both here on the blog and social media. Ulf is currently working at the software company Salesforce that has a fascinating volunteer policy. A policy that makes it possible for Ulf to donate money and work hours for Wise Economy and My Period is Awesome.
Tomorro’ Agency have been with us bro bono since 2017 and they are the geniuses behind our My Period is Awesome logo, profile and tagline. They are also one of the special partners of our Swedish project #periodproofed where they helped us with the graphic profile, illustration and the website.
Creative Force is a funding programme for international projects. It is open to Swedish organisations and their partners in our target countries who work through media or the arts to strengthen democracy, human rights and freedom of expression. It offers two types of grant: seed funding and collaborative projects. Wise Economy is currently running a two year collaborative project in collaboration with Wellbeing Foundation in Uganda.
Patricia Hjärtner, founder of Hjärtner & Partner, new annual sponsor of Wise Economy's project platform My Period is Awesome. The generous donation covers the entire co-funding of Wise Economy’s latest project in Namibia.
The Danish company OrganiCup has donated 1000 menstrual cups to My Period Is Awesome Namibia. The menstrual cup is a menstrual hygiene product that is inserted in the vagina and collects the blood, in difference to the tampon that is absorbing. The cup can be used for years, and is therefore economical for the user.
